The Huggies Wash deal at CVS is actually a June ECB deal, so tomorrow is the last day you can get it. My stores have been out of it every trip I've made. I lucked out on one trip and found a random bottle in the toothpaste aisle, but that's it.
However, if you ask the manager very nicely, they should issue you a rain check for the price of the wash after the ECBs, so for $1.49. Then you can go back when it's back in stock, and you have until 8/16 to use the $1/1 Huggies wash coupon with the rain check, making it $0.49.

I tried your link connected with the Walgreen brand diapers but once there it says that the article is flagged for removal...
Check out the link near the bottom of the article. Here it is if you can't find it:

Would love to hear if someone has success with this deal!
I just returned from Walgreen's with 3 jumbo's of Walgreen's diapers and a 5 pack refill bag of Pamper's wipes and spent a grand total of $6.78!!!!! For those wondering, all the Walgreen's coupons mentioned in the craigslist deal worked for me. Plus I got my $5 register reward( I used it for the wipes). It was a good day!
Thanks, good to know it worked!
How did you get that deal on the wipes?
I just paid $10.72 for six packs of Walgreens Diapers and got $10 back in RRs. Yippee!!!
k&e's mamma,
I bought the wipes in a separate transaction after I got my $5 RR.
They were on clearance then I used the RR plus a manuf. coupon. I ended up paying $3.82 total for them and $2.96 for the 3 packs of diapers.
I was at KMart today and they had Pampers Cruisers size 3 in the Big Box cartons with only 80 diapers. (not the usual 84) Has anyone else seen this? Is P&G trying to sneak in a price increase on us by lowering the numbers of diapers in the packages?
On a positive note, KMart is having a giant clearance event with 40% of the lowest ticketed price on all clearance clothes. I bought a set in 12 month size with a footed sleeper, onesie, and long pants with feet for $4.20. They had lots of toddler and kids tops, shorts and sets for $3 to $5 (after the discount).
I went to CVS for the Huggies wash/ECB deal. They were all out so they gave me a rain check for up to 5. I have a 1.50 coupon, and 2 1.00 coupons. so, I'll get 3 washes or lotions for .98! Wahoo!
Anyone looking for a good deal on swim diapers should stop by their nearest Big Lots store. They have the Pampers brand of swim diapers at the low price of $5 for a pack of 10/11/12 (depending on which size you need). I saw the same exact packages with the same counts for $8.49 at my local Babies R' Us this week, and the packs at Target and such are usually $9.99. Even if you use your best coupons at the regular stores it is tough to beat the $5 deal at Big Lots. As a side note, I also scored on some Playtex "Create Your Own Design" sippy cups for $2 each.
I went to my local Walgreens today to take advantage of the diaper sale, and it worked just like it was posted on craigslist. I bought3 packages of jumbos for $5.37 and a $5 register rewards printed too. I have never tried walgreens brand diapers before, but 37 cents is not much of an investment, so I thought I'd give it a whirl! This is the perfect "no risk" time to try this store brand.
Just thought I would also mention that the walgreens formula (25.75oz) is on sale for $11.99 and also is included on the easy saver catalog- Save $5 on two walgreens comfort stretch diapers, training pants, or walgreens infant formula. Buying 3 cans of formula would also qualify you for the $5 in register rewards.
Since diaper prices are going up July 1st, do you think it would be smart to stock up with the Target sale?
I took advantage of the Walgreen's deal today. I'm so very proud of myself. I stocked up on 12 jumbos, so I won't need to worry about buying diapers for a while. Hooray! I'm so glad that BC is around to fill us in on these good deals. I've never tried these diapers before, and I'm usually a name brand only buyer. However, I couldn't pass it up. I did get the 'premium' ones in the red package even though both kinds were on sale. I've tried one with no issues. They remind me of Huggies Supreme. Did anyone try the ones in the white package. Are they flimsy or have you had good luck with them?
I also noticed that the Big Box at Target had only 68 diapers at Size 4. When I bought a box last month they had 72 diapers. My Target also gave me a hard time for using the internet coupons of $5 off of diapers and wipes. The Manager finally relented and let me use 2 of them. It's not worth the hassle - next time I'll stock up when I get the BRU coupons off their box.
Joey's Mom,
Diapers are going up in price in mid to late July. I think it's a good idea to stock up whenever you find a great deal! The Target deal this week definitely qualifies.
Hi, Im wondering what this craigslist stuff is you all are talking about? Im a mother to four girls and i need serious diapers. 250 diapers/week. HELP! Did I mention i have triplets?
Please email me with any suggestions, thanks

anon,
You definitely need store brands! Here's a link to my post with the Craigslist Walgreens deal:

Woohoo! I won diapers.
Thanks so much for the contest and all the great tips.
I got a box of size 1 Pampers Swaddlers with 216 diapers in it from BJ's for $30.49, which comes out to $0.14 per diaper. I thought that was a really good deal.
The "free" Walgreens diapers worked here in Norfolk, VA. Like everyone mentioned, those pharmacy folk are tough to get coupon books from. I had to show them the easy saver page to get them to hand it over...they also acted a little disturbed when my insurance didn't even qualify for the dumb program. Oh well, I just honestly told them that I wanted the coupons and they were the ones that advertised that they would give them to me for asking! The coupons scanned as planned, $7.50 off then $6 off. The cashier never even looked at the coupons and handed the $2 off coupon back when I asked her to. My total was $5.07 and I got my $5 register rewards which I plan to go back and use for wipes. My walgreens has Huggies wipes on clearance (384 refill pack for $6.89) and they also had the Walgreens brand wipes on clearance (400 refill pack for $6.29). I'll do that when I go back for 3 more packs of diapers! For that price, how bad can the diapers be...you aren't out much if they are horrible. I know someone mentioned this before but has anyone tried the white pack variety?
The white pack diapers are pretty good. I did have a bit of a leak problem last night so I'll just use Pampers for overnight. They do tend to run a little on the small side, so I would probably buy the next size up. My 20 month old daughter weighs 22lbs and the size 3's are a bit snug on her.
i went to walgreens to get the cheap deal w/coupons,there were no coupon books from the pharmacy, but there were easysaver books and register rewards, you have to pay a certain way to get more than one register reward,i only got one.but its still a great deal.and no one has mentioned it but the diapers have a new side panel which allows a better roomer fit.i must have bought 2 months worth of diapers..who ever mentioned this deal thank you,i cleaned out two shelves in the store.
i forgot to mention pampers wipes were on clearance, also some similac formulas were too.
the walgreens deal worked perfectly for me in clarksville tn!
thanks!
*** WALGREENS DEAL INCLUDES TRAINING PANTS! ***
The Walgreens deal worked just fine for my husband today. We have never used the Walgreens brand of diapers, but working the deal as instructed in the post allowed us to get three packages of Walgreens brand training pants (aka - Pull-Ups) for a mere 19 cents!!! We are trying them out tonight, but I figure that we can't really go wrong since we got three jumbo packs for less than the price of a single brand name diaper. Ridiculous deal...my husband still can't believe it worked!
DEAL: As far as details go, my local Walgreens had the magical "pharmacy coupon book" just sitting out next to a few chairs in the waiting area by the pharmacy. I picked one up the other day when I first read the post and then waited for the July savings booklet to hit the shelves to get the other coupon. This evening I sent my dear hubby to the store and he said the cashier took the first coupon without question and then said she would "scan the second coupon to see if it worked". It went through without a problem and he paid $5.19 and received a $5 "register rewards" coupon to use on the next visit.
DIAPERS: For those who are interested in the quality of the Walgreens training pants, my oldest daughter is used to Huggies Pull-Ups and Pampers Easy-Ups and hasn't had any problems with the Walgreens training pants so far. They look a little different because the sides are super stretchy, but they seem to work just fine. If you can get your kids to ignore the fact that these training pants don't have the usual princesses/superheros/etc. on them (cars and "learning design" stars instead) I would recommend giving the Walgreens brand a try.
Needless to say, my husband is continuously impressed with the deals I am able to score on the Huggies Supremes, Pampers Swaddlers/Cruisers, and LUVS by reading this blog and keeping a keen eye out for coupons, but this deal has by far been his favorite. We have three kiddos in diapers and/or pull-ups and, although we prefer the name brand diapers, we will try just about anything if the price is right!
I'm a newbie to this site. Has there ever been a sale like this in the recent past? Does anyone think there will ever be a sale like this in the future? Because this was like the "Perfect Storm" of sales deals-- three normal sales deals converging all at once, resulting in what will most surely go down in history as The Great Diaper Event of 2008. Participating in this sale has been so exciting, I think this diaper sale deserves it's own professional sports announcer, and blow-by-blow coverage, LOL!
Mrs. Frugal Folkes
Mrs. Frugal Folkes:
Indeed there was another "Perfect Storm" last year...dubbed the Target/Gerber Deal of the Century. FREE...absoultely FREE baby food if you had the right coupons and the wherewithal to clear the shelves. I think you can search the links to find out about it...but it was really unbelievable.
Ever since that deal, I've been a loyal follower of Baby Cheapskate...you just never know what you might find here!
Thanks, Mels Mom!
...and that Gerber deal just happened to be in July! Keep your fingers crossed!
I'm so bummed! I don't have a walgreens anywhere around me!!!!!!
Just curious if anyone pays attention to wipes deals. I have been so focused on the cost of diapers, that I purchase wipes at BJs (our Costco in the NE). Now that things are getting really tough, I need to start focusing on wipe deals as well.
Anon,
Try to pay under .02 per wipe. I suggest finding a store brand you're happy with and you'll have no problem doing so. We use Target brand.
thought id mention there are other baby items that qualify for the 5 dollar register rewards at walgreens, formula, wipes, lotion and they also have coupons for some of these items in the easysaver.
what i do to save money on wipes is .i purchase them when theyre on sale at my local longs for 1.99 a tub,i use a 1.00 coupon and a lot of times theres a one dollar wipe rebate upto 4 rebates allowed in one submition.ive found buying them this way is cheaper than buying them in large refill bag, which will cost you two dollars or nore per refill.and i make sure to go back and get a raincheck, even without a rebate its the best deal.
I am pretty stocked up on wipes right now with the whole Target $5 coupon when you buy wipes and diapers. I've been getting the Pampers packs of 3 refills every time.
But normally I take my $0.75 Huggies wipes coupons and use them at a grocery store that either triples or doubles coupons and buy a tub. I sometimes can get a tub for $0.75. Otherwise I use a BJ's Huggies wipes coupon and a regular Huggies coupon and buy the wipes at BJ's.
On the back page of the Kmart ad, they show a fantastic deal on Nature Valley granola bars, General Mills cereal, and fruit snacks.
They are on sale for $2.49 each. When you buy 4, you get an instant $4 rebate (only one per transaction). Combine with the mannies from the past two Sundays you are paying less than $1.50 per box! There are also some printable coupons on coupons.com. Good only while supplies last and my Kmart got cleaned out between my a.m. trip and my p.m. trip. But I'm so excited that I got an assortment of 12 boxes for $13.67 including tax!
Mel's Mom, thanks for the reply!!! Now I'll be on the look-out for the baby food "Perfect Storm," LOL! And I really appreciate the discussion on wipes, as well. You guys on Baby Cheapskates are great. Thanks for all you do!
In mentioning the walgreens formula, like another poster said, you can get the $5 rr also with this deal...BUT if you usually use a store brand like walmart's parents choice, this appears to be the same product, just a different label. I found a link off of the parent's choice site to their manufacturer which said that they produce formula for private labels such as walmart and target and walgreens...so if you normally use walmart, this deal is good for you too!
Cool! I just switched to Walmart's sensitive formula, and my baby digests it well, so I'm glad. However, the sensitive formula is $14.99, and I don't know how that will work with the sale.
I just completely scored on the Walgreens diapers deal. After I went to the Walgreens near my house and near my church and had no luck getting the pharmacy coupon, I asked my step-dad to check out the deal near his work. He also had no luck so I about gave up until my mom offered to try the one near her house. FINALLY we got the pharamacy coupon so I was prepared to stock up. Today I went to visit my grandmother and came home a different way to avoid 5 o'clock traffic. On my way home I passed FOUR different Walgreens and went in and got a minimum of 5 packs at each place. I now have 22 packs of diapers - nearly 700 diapers - and the total (including tax) for all of these was $19.36. I figure this will last us at least 5 months. My husband is so proud of me and I'm so happy that it worked!!
I just found out that Baby Basics diapers (from Shoppers Food Warehouse) are the same diapers as Kmarts Little Ones and are also the old Especially for baby diapers from about a year ago. The ones with the playtime design. I believe that when they were the BRU diapers they were the regular ones not the supreme ones.
MY Cvs is allowing me to use the 2 dollar skin care coupon on cvs wipes which made me happy :)
