Diaper Steal: Luvs for Less than a Dime Each

BC Reader Soledad writes,

"Hi Angie! Thanks for all the deals you post! I just came across this one at Slickdeals (click to read about the deal).

Buying $50 at Diapers.com you can apply a $10 coupon code (RW8161) and the Parenting magazine rebate [look for the link on the Diapers.com index page] for $15 plus there's free shipping for orders $49 and up (works even if with the discount it goes under $49).

So I just got 204 size 3 Luvs [$35.99] + 462 Luvs wipes refill [$15.49] for $41 shipped and after the rebate it'll be $26 (so, 9 cents per diaper and $0.017 per wipe in the end). There's Pampers and Huggies too."

Readers, let me know how this works out for you! Thanks, Soledad!

Edited: the post at SlickDeals has been removed, but you can easily recreate the deal with the coupon code and rebate info here from Soledad.

Sad, the link isn't working for me :(

What is the parenting magazine rebate deal?

Melissa said...

If you go to Diapers.com at the bottom of the page there is info about a free subscription to Parenting mag if you spend $15. When you click on the link there's a form to fill out and send along with proof of purchase for a $14.97 rebate.

New customers only! At least, I've never been able to use coupon codes twice (any code, not the same code.) I've tried using different cards and changing my name slightly, but as long as the billing address is the same, it doesn't seem to work.

Anyways, if you can order, good deal.

Yep - that coupon code is for new customers only. :-(

I can't find the Parenting Magazine rebate info anywhere on diapers.com. All I see at the bottom is a $10 refer-a-friend promo.

Never mind. I used Internet Explorer rather than Fire Fox and low and behold, there it is!

I didn't do this deal, but wanted to let you know:

Right now, there is a $5 off box of Luvs for BJ's. My BJ's has the same count boxes of Luvs as Diapers.com for $24.99 - so a box of 204 3's is $19.99 there. That's .098 cents a diaper.

I have to say, when I first saw this, I thought it was packs of jumbos for a dime each! lol! That *would* be a steal!

The slickdeals post seems to have been removed and I don't find the Parenting Mag free subscription (or rebate) info on the diapers.com website. Anyone know where the details are? Does this deal still work?

Found this on the diapers.com site...kind of a hassle, but couple be a good deal.

Do You Accept Manufacturer's Coupons?

Yes, we do! Diapers.com accepts manufacturer's coupons and formula checks for all DIAPER, WIPES and FORMULA products that we sell, except the Kirkland brand. Manufacturer's coupons should be mailed to us at the address below before you place your order. Once we receive them, they'll be applied to your Diapers.com account (please allow 7-10 business days for processing) and automatically applied towards future eligible purchases of the specific product listed on the coupon, before the expiration date.

You can send manufacturer's coupons to:

Diapers.com
P.O. Box 1564
Montclair, NJ 07042

Please be sure to include your (1) NAME, (2) EMAIL ADDRESS and (3) BILLING STREET ADDRESS with your coupons to expedite handling.

The parenting mag info is:

From your shopping cart (not checkout, the shopping cart), in the left hand side there's the space to put the $10 off code.

Then, a little lower there's a box that says: "Parenting subscription included with your first order of $15 or more! Learn more"

If you click that you can see the instructions and the page to print and send for the rebate.

Here's the direct Parenting rebate link, actually:

I agree it's for new customers only. I ordered Pampers Cruisers, extra large case (160) and some feeding spoons to get free shipping. Price per diaper ended up being 0.134 after discount and rebate.

I have ordered from diapers.com when Hailey was in sz 2 (Now in sz 5). Can I create a new account under my husband's name and get the $10 discount for new customers?

I have a coupon for $1.50 off Pampers and since the Points to Grow program ends in March I'm trying to collect all the points i can :)

k-ron said...

Thanks for the other codes, Anonymous, but those are being rejected as "new customer only" discounts, as well.

Rmenda: In the old Slickdeals thread they had mentioned that they were able to open more than one account successfully by altering the address slightly, I think. I haven't tried it myself, though.

And here's some Points to Grow free codes in case you don't have them yet:

3 points: HAPPYHOLIDAY089
1 point:
THRIFTYMOMMYGTG
DONTFORGETGTG08
WELCOME2GTG0809
OHAMANDAAWGTG08

So, what counts as a proof of payment? A print out of the receipt? the packing slip? What do you think?

What do you mean? The code is not mine, it's from Slickdeals (where it said it was from a pregnancy magazine). I wish you were right, though!

Soledad said...

Ahh, I found it in the website. Well, it's not my refer-a-friend code. Maybe it was the code from the person who posted in SD and that's why the thread is gone, I really don't know. If it were mine I would have said it clearly. I was just passing along what I thought was a great deal.

Ivan said...

Oh, then please accept my apologies, this code looks exactly like the one you get to pass on to other people and then you get $1.00 every time they buy diapers. This deal looks like this pregnancy magazine would begetting the referral bonus :)

Thanks so much, Soledad!! I went through Ebates to order mine, and they give me 1% back. Not much, but every little bit counts, right?

Thanks so much for the coupon code: RW8161. I just used it 4 times!! What I did was, I just used a different credit card each time and I changed my name slightly (ex. put 'k' instead of kate, 'katie' instead of 'kate') but I kept my last name and address the same and it worked!!! Also, I had no problem finding the long square box that has a picture of parenting magazine- for the rebate info. THANKS AGain- you saved me a ton!

Anonymous said...

To find the rebate info:
1. Go to Shopping Cart page
2. Enter code: RW8161 in the 'promotions & referrals' box
3. Then Look right below where you entered your code and there will be a long square box that says 'manufacturers coupons & credits' THEN right below that you will see another long box (with a picture of Parenting magazine), just click on that to print out the rebate info.

Great DEAL! Thanks soledad!

I saw someone else already asked this but what is considered proof of purchase? UPC labels or the order confirmation page?

Anonymous said...

I sent in my order confirmation page as proof of purchase. I think that just want to verify that you purchased at least $15 at diapers.com.

Also, thanks so much for this great code. It worked for me twice.

Use VWIK3032 to get $10 off.

For the rebate...Does anyone know if you use your printed online reciept or a packing slip for proof of payment?
