Here are some of the hot deals I expect to see in July:
- Gerber coupon and sale watch! Target put out a Gerber baby food coupon during the first week of July 2007 and 2008. It was for $1 off two. In 2007, there was also an awesome sale on Gerber food at Target that allowed parents to stock up big time. Keep your eyes on your mailbox and let us know if you spot the July Gerber coupon!
- Retailers now want that summer apparel, gear and toys GONE! Expect deals of 50% off and up after July 4. Old Navy often does an "extra 20% off clearance" sale after the 4th.
- Look for further Monster Sale reductions (50%) at The Children's Place near mid-July. We should see deals at $3.99 and below.
- Look for big time Target baby clearance starting at the beginning of the second week. Some readers even saw Britax car seats 50% off.
- We saw some fabulous Amazon deals on Fisher Price baby gear (up to 50% off) after mid-month last year. I sure hope to see them again!
- Snapfish usually releases a major print deal in July. Look for discounts on photo gifts, too.
Plan ahead:
- Shop tax-free for back to school. Many states' tax holidays are the first or second weekend of the month. Here's a state-by-state list of sales tax holidays.
- Consignment stores start accepting fall clothing at the beginning of August. Time to cash in with last years' winter clothes. Read about it here.

Excellent forecast. I'm especially interested in the Gerber coupons and Britax deals.
Also, the $2 off a pack of diapers coupon from the Walgreens pharmacy expires today....if anyone sees a new one come out, I'd love to know! Those are excellent for stacking with their BOGO sale.
Thanks, Angie! BTW, I called Gerber the other day to find out if a plate I had purchased was microwave-safe. While I had her on the phone, I asked if they had any Gerber coupons they could mail me. She said "Sure!" She mailed me three $1 off Gerber coupons (any Gerber baby, graduate or preschool food) and $1 off Graduates Smart Sips (single or 3-pack). They don't expire until 12/31/10 and 3/30/10, respectively.
Thanks Amelia's Mom! I'll have to call and see if I can get some coupons heading my way!
I remember the Target coupon of 2007. That was AWESOME!
That 2007 Gerber coupon is what got me couponing!
I have a question about the tax-free day. What does the amount next to type of item mean? This is the first year that MS has had a tax-free day (that I know of).
I love the forecasts, Angie!
To answer "I have a question about the tax-free day. What does the amount next to type of item mean? This is the first year that MS has had a tax-free day (that I know of)."
To my knowledge (I worked retail in Alabama twice during tax free weekends) it is the amount the product has to be under in order to qualify for tax free. For instance if beside clothing it says 100$, you couldn't get a 200$ jacket tax free. You could however, get a bunch of clothes TOTALING 200$ (or more).
Ohio doesn't have a tax-free day. Boo!

Along the lines of the Snapfish deal, Sam's Club will be handing out coupons for 25 free 4x6 prints starting July 1st and going to through the 4th that you can redeem between the 4th and the 12th. They're supposed to be handing them out around the club, but if you can't find someone giving them out when you are wandering around I'm sure you can go up to the photo lab and ask for one.
Thanks for the info about the tax-free day!
The Target clearances have started(!!!!!!) 2 of my 3 Targets have those little red stickers all around! The deals aren't that great yet (maybe 10-20% off?) but I'm expecting them to get lower as the month goes on. :) Anyone know if Target does price adjustments if the item goes on bigger clearance after you buy it??
any news on the gerber coupons yet?
Nope. Still hoping with almost half a month to go!
