Thanks, anon. I see that babycarseats is part of the HSN network. Anybody have any feedback on them?

They had these on kids.woot a few weeks ago for $99. Usually those deals come back around again, if you can afford to wait.

We purchased the Cappachino color one from Target earlier this year and were unhappy with it.

Main issue is that our son is tall and skinny. He is almost 14 months but still only 19 lbs. You are not supposed to turn this around till 23 lbs. The shoulder staps are not high enough and were anctually behind his back making it very uncomfortable and not safe.

We couldn't return it so it is sitting in the bedroom and we went out and purchased a different car seat.

This would probably be fine if your child was either heavier and you could turn it to be front facing or if they were not as tall.

Actually Anna - if the seat is rear facing which your son at only 19lbs legally needs to remain (it's 20lbs AND a year, not one or the other - although the AAP just came out with its new recommendations of at least 2yrs and 30lbs) those straps are supposed to be below his shoulders. Rear facing straps should be below the shoulder, forward facing need to be at or above the shoulders.

This seat is actually perfect for a tall child because it has some of the highest harness slots and tallest shell on the market - therefore most kids don't outgrow it height wise.

I'm sorry you disliked the seat - I LOVE it and my 2 yr old, 23lb DS happily rear faces in it with PLENTY of room to grow (my 3.5 year old fits very well in it as well!) Maybe try selling it on craigslist - you should be able to do so with little problem.

For anyone thinking about this seat I give the seat two thumbs up! =o)

I had the same problem...sorta...as Anna Smith. My problem was that the straps slid off my daughter's shoulders. And as easy as the harness height adjustment is, I still much prefer the infinite harness of the Britax. So that's what she's in for now.

And as easy as everyone said this seat was to install when recommending it to me.... It wasn't. And when I complained, that's when all the people came out of the woodwork with the same issues. I kept the seat for when my daughter gets bigger or turns around (hopefully when she turns around).

I even have ideas that the seat gave her carsickness.

I tried EVERYTHING to like this seat because I wanted to so much. But this is the last seat I recommend when recommending a seat. At least as far as rearfacing. Hopefully it's better forward facing.

I have this seat for my 8 month old. It is really nice that the headrest comes off making it easier to fit rear facing. But when it is rear facing it is almost impossible to use the strap on the front to tighten/loosen the harness. For this reason, we going to be buying an Evenflo Triumph insetead.
