Where do you see the one-time use code on the coupon? I got a coupon e-mailed to me from Gap, but it shows that it can only be used in stores? Appreciate any help. Thanks!

It's at the bottom of an email I received with the title "Get 30% off at Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and Athleta." From giveandget@gapinc.delivery.net. HTH

Angie, in my experience with the Give and Get promos, the code is one-time use for the person receiving the coupon via email. I previously registered 2 of my email addresses with Gap so I get 2 codes. So, if the email was sent to you, you could use he online code once but no one else could use the same code. In any case, there doesn't appear to be an online code on the link you provided.

Here is the Janie and Jack 25% off

I received the email as well personally, and cannot see an online code

Anonymous said...

mine also says 'not valid online'

I betcha need one of the Gap Co. credit cards to qualify for the email with the online codes. I have a Gap as well as a BR card and received two separate emails with two different online codes (one-time use).

Anon 9:39, Right. There's no code on the link I provided.

Anon 9:52, I don't have a Gap credit card, but I received a one-time use code.

Angie said...

LOL! I hope it doesn't sound like I'm teasing you with the online code. I just meant to say that there WAS one, but it's not on the page I linked to in the post.

I got a card from a friend in store and on the card it says not valid online which is strange b/c usually you can use them online. Also coupon says can't be combined with any other offer so it doesn't look like you can use it with old navy 50% off jackets.

If you got an email that has a code under the barcode, try entering it online. It's happened to me before where it says only good instore but once I punch in the code under the barcode online it works. But you only got one shot to use it online. It can't be used multiple times online.

Just did it and it worked!!

Just tested this out online after reading everyone's comments to see if the coupon would work on the outerwear sale - since I would have to drive a bit to get to the store and it worked! Just like someone commented, you just have to enter the code under the barcode and it takes the 30% off! Yippee! Thanks for helping us keep onto of the sales!

I got an email with an online code. I didn't come until this morning. YAY!

I got my online code today in an email...

I have two emails set up through old navy apparently. One of my emails got the in-store coupon only, with no online code. But! Funnily enough, the other email got the in-store coupon with a one time use online code.

I wonder what made them decide who got the online one and who didn't?

It's what appears to be the bar code. I just tested mine out and it worked. It's just a series of numbers directly below the barcode.

I got an email today with an online code. Got two coats for $13.82 each, yay!

Carlene said...

Angie thank you so much for the wonderful savings! All the family members are now getting wool coats. What a great money saving tip I wouldn't have know of without your help!

Heather said...

Does anyone have this and is not using it? My whole family needs new coats, but the ON by us doesn't have the coat I want in the baby's current size.

Lynne said...

Has anyone tried buying a coat in store with both the 50% off and the 30% off F&F coupon? It says on the bottom of the 30% off coupon that it can't be used with any other offer. Just wondering if the 50% off outerwear deal in store maybe doesn't officially count as an offer!?

I took the printout of the link to my store and got 30% off on top of the 50% off coats AND the additional 50% off clearance! Got toddler shoes for $2 and coats for $25 (from $70). This deal ROCKS!

I used the 30% off coupon on coats (rang up at 50% off and then I saved an additional 30%) and clearance too - you just can't use the 30% off with another coupon for a percentage off (like if you had a 50% off coupon from Old Navy Weekly).

It appears that the online code and the instore code are the same on my coupon. I stocked up on coats for everyone today and they had some incredible deals on women's clearance at my store. I got a bunch of skirts and shirts for 68 cents!

where do you enter the code onlne? don't see anything in the cart for that....

Someone who knows said...

11/11/09 9:52 PM - You don't have to have a Gap Card (or Old Navy, or Banana Republic) to get coupons. Just join their email list. Sometimes card holders get exclusive coupons, but not often.

A little insider info: Stacking of discounts that have to be manually applied at the end of the sale by the cashier in the register system are not allowed by the system itself. So these coupons that have to be scanned, or the ones that have a little 3 digit code on them that the cashier punches in cannot be combined. The reason you can stack the G&G coupon on top of the 50% off coats is because that 50% is already in the register system. The coats automatically ring up as 1/2 off without the cashier needing to input any promo codes or scan any coupons. The cashier is then able to use the coupon code after all items have been rung up.

Also these coupons cannot be used on items not produced by Gap: Junk Food shirts, Converse, Stella McCartney, CharmIt!, diaper bags, toys (except the squeaker toys and teddy bears made by Gap), books, BG Home items like strollers and car seats (bed linens are ok though), etc. This is true at Old Navy and Banana as well.

Heather - I have quite a few codes for use online that are going unused.

someone who knows said...

Also the G&G/F&F coupons cannot be used with the little certificates for $10 that you get from the brand credit card rewards program.

Nora could you send me one. My email is mara_tim@yahoo.com

Heather said...

Nora, my email is hbarnstein@yahoo.com - I would be so grateful if you had a spare we could use!
